Focus and Scope
This journal focuses on advancing scholarly research and critical discourse in the field of education. It publishes original research articles that address contemporary issues and emerging trends in curriculum development, instructional practices, learning processes, educational policy, and teacher preparation. The journal aims to contribute to the development of educational theory and practice in both national and international contexts.
The journal also welcomes submissions related to environmental education and studies that examine learning through psychological, social, cultural, cognitive, and historical perspectives. Research that explores the interrelationships among teaching, knowledge construction, learner development, and educational contexts is particularly encouraged.
Furthermore, the journal accepts research and academic discussions across a broad range of subject matter within education, including mathematics education, religious education, language pedagogy and English for Specific Purposes (ESP), natural sciences, social sciences, history, chemistry, and other related educational disciplines.
The journal includes the following thematic sections:
Learning: Theoretical and empirical investigations concerning learning processes and their development across diverse contexts.
Issues and Trends: Analytical and interpretive essays addressing current educational, social, and philosophical issues.
Learning in Everyday Life: Studies of learning experiences occurring outside formal academic settings, such as in homes, communities, digital environments, and cultural institutions.
Teacher Education: Research on teacher preparation, professional development, and the broader conditions shaping the teaching profession.
Education Policy: Critical analyses of educational policies, their principles, implementation, and effects on educational practice.
Comments and Criticism: Scholarly dialogue aimed at clarifying, challenging, or expanding upon previously published works.
Book Reviews: Reviews of recent publications relevant to the field of education.
The Editorial Board invites manuscripts employing rigorous quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method approaches that demonstrate academic originality and significant contribution to educational scholarship. All submissions must present a thorough review of relevant literature, articulate a clearly defined research problem or argument, and provide well-grounded conclusions addressing implications and limitations.

Peer Review Process
AL-ISHLAH : Jurnal Pendidikan maintain the standards of peer review while increasing the efficiency of the process.
The initial review process is at least 3 months. The review proccess uses double-blind peer review.
All research articles published in AL-ISHLAH: Jurnal Pendidikan undergo full peer review, key characteristics of which are listed below:- All research articles are reviewed by at least two suitably qualified experts.
- All publication decisions are made by the journals’ Editor-in-Chief on the basis of the reviews provided
- Members of the Editorial Boards lend insight, advice and guidance to the Editors-in-Chief generally and to assist decision making on specific submissions
- Managing  Editors provide the administrative support that allows AL-ISHLAH: Jurnal Pendidikan to maintain the integrity of peer review while delivering rapid turn around and maximum efficiency to authors, reviewers and editors alike.
- AL-ISHLAH: Jurnal Pendidikan additionally benefit through the manuscript referral process from the high quality peer review conducted by established journals.
Peer review of referred papers:
Editors of AL-ISHLAH: Jurnal Pendidikan will decide promptly whether to accept, reject, or request revisions of referred papers based on the reviews and editorial insight of the supporting journals. In addition, Editors will have the option of seeking additional reviews when needed. Authors will be advised when Editors decide further review is needed.
Peer review of novel submissions:
Articles submitted directly to AL-ISHLAH: Jurnal Pendidikan will be fully peer reviewed by at least two appropriately qualified experts in the field selected by the Editor-in-Chief. The Editor-in-Chief or a designated member of the Editorial Board will then decide whether to accept, reject or request revisions based on the reviews and comments received.
Editors will decide whether each submission reports well-conducted research with conclusions supported by the data presented in the paper. Assessments of priority will not be a factor in decision-making, but all papers must make an incremental or novel addition to the literature.
Publication Frequency
AL-ISHLAH: Jurnal Pendidikan is published four times a year—in March, June, September, and December—and features papers and articles presenting ideas and research written by experts, educators, scholars, practitioners, and reviewers in the field of education.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content based on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
