Huffazh Center Indonesia: Study and Development of Tahfidz Al-Qur'an at the Beginning of the 21st Century

Abstract


This research employs a social history method with a qualitative approach to examine the role and development of the Huffazh Center Indonesia (HCI) in cultivating a generation of quality hafiz and hafizah amidst the evolving landscape of Islamic education in the 21st century. The importance of Al-Qur'an education in shaping the character and morals of Muslims is increasingly recognized, particularly in this century. This study focuses on the evolutionary trends in Islamic education, specifically the memorization of the Koran. The findings will provide valuable insights and contribute significantly to the discourse on the future of Islamic education in Indonesia. By examining the role of HCI, the research highlights its impact on developing a quality generation while addressing educational and social challenges. HCI's holistic approach, flexible curriculum, and transparent fund management underscore the importance of tahfidz Al-Qur'an education. This educational framework not only maintains religious and moral values but also meets the spiritual needs of society in an era of rapid change. The study also explores how HCI's methodologies can serve as a model for other Islamic educational institutions aiming to adapt to contemporary demands while preserving core religious principles.
